If You Talked to God Today

If You Talked to God Today

If you talked to God,

today,

What kind of things would

you have to say?

Would you point out to him

other’s faults and imperfections?

The times you were offended

by their transgressions?

Where do you wish them to

 spend their eternity?

“God, I’ve been so good”

—just look at me!

 God knows your heart

—don’t try to be kidding.

He knows the way,

 you’ve been living!

He knows your thought,

actions and what you think of!

Don’t blame your brother,

for sins that you need to repent of!

Talk to God in

compassion and prayer...

Be filled with his love,

and wonderful care!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
