Have You Turned from the TRUE God?

Have You Turned From The True God?

Think of the people of Israel

in Egypt long ago.

They were slaves, wanting out,

and ready to go.

Through Moses, God brought

 miracles to the land.

And promised a place of milk

& honey ever so grand.

By fire and a cloud,

God did led.

Proving himself, he daily

gave them bread..

They did something they

knew they shouldn’t do.

By worshiping a false God!

Not the God who's true.

The promised land in which

they later enjoyed.

Was invaded by other armies and destroyed.

Perhaps you’ve forsaken

the God of the Bible.

And are worshiping a false

god or a false idol.

Return to the true God

before it’s too late.

If you don’t...  Like Israel...

you’ll suffer a similar fate!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
