God's Word Is All I Need!

God’s Word Is All I Need!

I don’t need other books to tell me what God’s word is about.

I believe what his word says.  I don’t need to doubt.

His word gives guidelines to a righteous way of living.

It speaks about the kind of life, to God, we should be giving!

When it speaks about God’s beauty and holiness.  I believe it.

When it speaks of God’s salvation.

I want to receive it!

If I have any questions, I’ll ask God for the answer in prayer.

I don’t need someone to tell me; “why not look over there?”

He gave me his word.  I need to study and read it.

No matter how many may tell me that I don’t need it!

I’m not interested in a million different interpretations.

I just want to know what’s from Genesis to Revelation.

Hallelujah!  I praise God for giving me his holy word.

May his spirit guide my thoughts, and his voice be heard!

May the conviction of scripture be there to convict me.

I pray that I’ll yield, so the words will guide and help me.

The Bible is more powerful than any two edged sword!

May it’s principles of truth bring me closer to my Lord!

As I get closer, and the words of Christ bring healing within.

I have found an answer to all of my problems and sin.

The word of God will always bring a powerful meaning!

Isn’t it time you also read it?  And start believing?

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
