Please Forgive Me Lord!

Please Forgive Me Lord!

Dear Lord, I’ve failed you

  many times.

I feel like I'm in dark room

 with closed blinds.

Throughout my life,

 I've no reason to "brag."

Each time I sin... It brings

God's "penalty flag."

I've seen many others

"fall in disgrace."

I can still remember

the look on their face.

I don't want to end up

as they often do.

Ending up in failure,

    in living for YOU.

I humbly confess and

repent of my sins.

It's only in YOU Jesus where

 true life begins!

All of my ashes and broken

 Pieces, I freely give.

And beg of your mercy and

willingness to forgive.

Thank you God for helping

 me to overcome!

Through Jesus,

the victory’s won!

Thank you Jesus for being

 there and loving me...

The chains are gone.

I am set free!!!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
