The Point of No Return?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The "Point Of No Return?"

There is something I feel
of great concern.
This is what I call; "The point of no return."

It's a point "where a brother
may have been offended
."
By someone he knows, or perhaps "be-friended."

It's a point where something
 is said or "acted out."
And causes this person to
somehow "be cast out."

It was Jesus... who said;
 "forgive 70 times 7."

If one's desire is to
 someday live in  heaven.

Many Christians get "offended"
by many things.
And are hindered by what
unforgiveness brings.

Many who say they're a
 "Christ-like representation."
Are often "offended" by
others' "presentation."

Rather than really loving this
person in Jesus' name.
Many choose to gossip,
judge and complain.

Soon... they reach the point
where love doesn't return.
As unforgiveness inside of them
"smolders and burns."

What if Christ loved us the
 way we love others.
His words command us all
 "to love one another."

You may be the only Christ
 others will ever see...
What you do today...
 will impact their eternity!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
