God Is for Us! Who Can Be Against

God is For Us!  Who Can Be Against Us?

This country seems to be “upside down.”

As another tragedy happens across town.

There’ many families being torn apart.

There’s another bleeding and broken heart.

Drugs, sex, greed to just name a few…

What are we really, supposed to do?

We’re told that praying is “unconstitutional.”

What once was godly, is now “delusional.”

Does anyone know what’s right or wrong?

What is it that makes our nation strong?

It’s not found in the courts that are amongst us.

Or the government programs,

 we have with us!

The answer is coming to God on humble knees.

Crying in confession; “Lord, forgive us please!”

Humbling ourselves, must be our obsession.

And come before God with a daily confession!

A confession of our sins and backward ways!

And listening to what God’s word says!

Let’s come before God, before it’s too late!

His judgment is coming!  Let’s not wait!

This world is changing all around us!

But God is for us!  Who can be against us?

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
