Why Don't More Christians Love One

Why Don’t More Christians Love One Another?

I read the Bible how we should

love one another.

Yet I hear of a Christian who can’t

love his brother.

Many who attend church can’t seem to get along.

It’s a wonder if many of them really “belong.”

Another argument and another harsh word used.

It’s like many have often been

 “spiritually abused.”

Too many in church, walk in and carry their Bible.

Yet when they’re at home, they live by a false idol.

Idols of this world, have often gripped their very soul.

What it means to love another, they don’t even know.

How can one love a brother who stumbled or fallen?

What happens when a brother in need comes callin’?

It’s no wonder much of the church is in a big mess.

As many believers can’t life’s trials and stress!

Do Christians accept the truth of God’s as anything?

Do many of them try to practice 1 Corinthians 13?

Let’s stop saying; “I want nothing to do

with that person!”

It’s time we stop all of our

 complaining and cursin’!

Let’s lay all of our burdens at the foot of the cross!

Whatever grudges we hold,  need to be LOST!

Help us dear Lord to pray for each other’s burden!

May love for our brothers be evident and certain!

Praying for and loving one another

 is how it must be!

If we want heaven to be our destiny!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
