Lord, Help My Dad!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Lord, Please Help My Dad!

Lord, on behalf of my dad,

 I do apologize.

He’s saying things that aren’t

healthy and wise.

There’s a lot of unforgiveness

that’s being said.

He’s twisting scripture with his

feelings instead.

He’s carrying a lot of hurt from his divorce.

He makes decisions from an

unscriptural source.

It’s not up to us to quickly cast a brother “out.”

This isn’t what Christian living is all about.

We’re to love our friends and enemies the same.

We’re to conduct our lives in honor

 of Jesus’ name!

We’re to be his loving example

 in thought or deed.

We’re to be there to help those

 in time of need.

If we let our own anger and feelings

 get in the way…

We’ll have to answer to God

 on that judgment day!

Let’s join Christ’s loving family

and do our part.

Let’s speak in love and kindness

 from our heart!

Let’s leave our past and bring

 it to Jesus’ feet!

Let’s allow his loving kindness

to make us complete!

Let’s be Christ’ example in everything

we endeavor.

Let’s be there to reign with him

 in heaven forever!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
