The Track of Sun

The Track of Sun

The track of sun upon the river
reflects the nature of the Giver-
a shimmering path to firy gold;
the perfect plan, He does deliver.

Of earth, but yet unearthly bold,
it seems a preview to behold-
of crystal living water flowing
from Heaven, as has been foretold...

the brilliance of the sunlight showing
like eminence of God's throne glowing
o're all the land - so blessed are we! -
who walk in truth and light and knowing...

Revelation 22:  The River of Life
                         Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal,
                         flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the
                         great street of the city.

(I live about a half mile from the Illinois River and often cross the bridge, noticing the sun on the river.)
