Spiritual Journey

He opens rivers to the promised land
where fountains pour.  Amidst the valleys deep,
I'm bathed within the living water's plan
and guided 'till I reach the Kingdom's keep.

Eternal Spring!  Such
is His way!  A
beckoning so soothes
my soul!

The desert here before me never dries,
for I'm a child of the most high God;
I'm shown the way, for captured is my heart-
He opens rivers to the promised land.

(Written in the Dorsimbra poetry form:  A set form of 3 stanzas of 4 lines each.  Since the
 Dorsimbra requires 3 different sets of form writing, enjambment can help achieve fluidity
 while internal rhymes and near rhymes can help tie the stanzas together.  Stanza 1 is 4
 lines of Shakespearean sonnet. Stanza 2 is 4 lines of short and snappy free verse.  Stanza
 3 is 4 lines of blank verse, where the last line repeats the first line of stanza 1.)
