Melodious

(a sparrowlet)

Into the sky, a sparrow sang;
glad notes throughout the woodland rang
from tree-tops, then to clouds on high.
From branch to sturdy branch, it sprang-
a song and dance to glorify-
a sparrow sang into the sky.

There in the tree, it built a nest-
a home of utmost peace and rest;
nearby is He who oversees-
to that the soothing breeze attests!
A sparrow sings in grand esprit-
it built a nest there in the tree.

James 5:13...'Is anyone happy?  Let him sing songs of praise.'

(The 'sparrowlet' (introduced by Reason Poteet) is somewhat similar to the 'swap quatrain'
 poem.   Each stanza is 6 lines, with an...  a   a   b   a   b   b...rhyme scheme.  The first 4
 syllables of each stanza becomes the last 4 syllables of the stanza...likewise, the 2nd 4
 syllables become the first 4 syllables of the last line of the stanza.)
