Clinking Chains

Clinking Chains

Sometimes I hear my clinking chains,

yet I'm elated just as Paul

who even behind prison bars

not once had lost his joy at all.

I too then hear what Jesus said-

that He has saved a room for me,

and all these chains that made me sway-

He'll cast back on the enemy.

Uplifting music fills my cell,

but truth be heard, the Word - His voice;

much louder than these clinking chains,

in Jesus love, I can rejoice!
