New  Salem

First, man's center must implode,
And then, the spinning 'round it stop,
The mind will lift a lighter load,
And bottom will replace the top.

When what’s invisible is seen,
The blind shall have their sight restored
To help them find the pasture green,
The waters still, the servant-Lord.

The pasture’s wheat will satisfy
A hunger that no food could fill,
No longer will a heart run dry,
But each will pour and overfill.

The light of day will never end,
But dark will end where evil hid,
And light with love forever blend
In those who follow what He did.

Written for a local poetry challenge in which the topic is about life in the future. The future I had in mind was one in which people surrender their egocentric outlook and follow God.
