The Eyes of Sara Lou
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by Connie Hinnen Cook

Dear Lord, I know the friends I have
are handpicked gifts from You;
And one I'll always treasure
is Your gift of Sara Lou.

For Sara Lou is different, Lord,
there's magic in her eyes;
The merriment that's sparkling there
first took me by surprise.

Her snappy eyes are full of mirth,
those eyes give her away;
Her love affair with life glows through,
she savors each new day.

Though pain may call, she praises You,
her spirit stays the same;
Her love for You shines through her eyes
and glorifies Your Name.

Her eyes tell of her peace in You,
without making a sound;
Your love and warmth just flow right through
when Sara Lou's around.

Lord, thank You for Your special gift,
she's one I'll always prize;
For when I first met Sara Lou,
I saw You in her eyes!

--Connie

Her eyes are silent homes of prayer.

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
