Kitchen Blessing

Dear Lord, please bless this kitchen,
Bless each pot and pan and plate;
And please grant my man good humor
If the meal be burned or late.

May the shelves be full of vittles,
And the room be full of cheer;
May Your joy surround the table
To say, "My love is served here!"

Please bless us with good health, Lord,
May we always be well-fed;
May we always think to thank You
Everytime that we break bread.

Dear Lord, please bless this kitchen,
Grant us nourishment, and then,
Use our bodies for Thy service,
This we humbly ask, Amen.

--Connie

"Better a dry crust
with peace and quiet
than a house
full of feasting,
with strife."
(Proverbs 17:1, NIV)

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
