Two-Way Street
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Two Way Street

Last week,
a woman drove up
to an intersection
in her fancy car,
looked to the right,
and gunned the accelerator.
The coroner's report stated that
she probably never knew what hit her.

Last night,
I came to you
with my fancy speech,
"knew" I was right,
and "gunned the accelerator".
I realized later that
you probably never knew what hit you.

Lord, please teach me somehow
that Conversation,
like Traffic,
is a Two-Way Street.

--Connie

"...let every man
be swift to hear,
slow to speak,
slow to wrath..."
(James 1:19, KJV)

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
