VOLUNTARY INTERCESSION

Lord, I look out on the masses and my heart weeps,
There are many who are living without You;
And their sight is dead to Truth and so their soul sleeps,
And I understand, for I was blind once, too.

Lord, each time I'm in a crowd I see blank faces,
There are many caught-up in the daily grind;
Still, each one who turns to You, Your heart embraces,
But how many unsaved will be left behind?

Lord, I know that we are in the final hour,
That the Rapture could take place now any day;
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your mighty power,
Bend me to my knees and teach my heart to pray.

Lord, I would not ask for freedom from my grieving,
Yoke my spirit to the pain Your Spirit bears;
So I'll claim each soul You lead me to, believing
That the blood spilt from Your cross will seal my prayers.

"And they that be wise shall shine
as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness
as the stars for ever and ever."

(Daniel 12:3, KJV)

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
