Sweet Fellowship-Wonderful

     Sweet Fellowship

To glorify The King on high

We came to sing and pray

Such love, such joy filled heart and eye

Sincere in every way

In Christ, your fruits were plain to see

In presence of the Dove

With open arms you welcomed me

With overwhelming love

How could such love as this exist?

Inside a human soul

It showed to me, how much we’ve missed

Ere Jesus makes us whole

The world outside knows nought of this

She’s blind to Jesus’ bride

Each warm embrace, each holy kiss

The burning glow inside

Too precious, was the love I saw

How much could this one take?

My cup with joy could fill no more

Or else my heart could break

What soothing peace I felt in there

Amidst your smiling sea

You had so much, and longed to share

With such a child as me

You’re special; in the eyes of God

I saw it from the start

You too have needs, yet find not odd

To give with all your heart

Since knowing you, I’m not the same

However far I’ll roam

I know one day in Jesus’ name

I’ll make with you my home.....

     Wonderful Fellowship

As one; we sat at Jesus’ feet

We praised God’s name on high

His presence; touched our hearts so sweet

With fragrance none can buy

We felt love’s arms were opened wide

God’s glory shed around

Such pleasure was to feel inside

Standing on holy ground

The breath of God, His warm embrace

What more could lie beyond?

What miracle would soon take place?

How would my soul respond?

My prayer was heard, my eyes could see

My soul could understand

United praise and grace borne free

Right there; in Jesus’ hand

No trumpet sound, no flashing light

No angel singing psalms

I knew all doubt had taken flight

Within my Saviour’s arms

Where else on earth was I to go?

What had the world to share?

What need had we beneath the flow

Of Him who loves to care

What power could flood both heart and mind?

How could such love, be mine?

Such glory saw these eyes once blind

Through grace of God divine

I’ll soon return with all my love

We’ll share salvation’s wine

We’ll eat the flesh of Christ above

Within life’s living Vine.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
