God Is Not Mocked

     God is not mocked

Is church a game to you my friend?

Is Jesus real, or just pretend?

Have you God’s Spirit in your heart?

Or in wolf’s clothes you play a part?

God won’t be mocked He sees deceit

He knows the heart of those who cheat

The Spirit’s true, His fire’s real

Within who bear God’s Holy Seal

Today’s no time to play the fool

Or live and die as Satan’s tool

With you the prince of lies will play

If you reject God’s Lamb today

The devil wants you play such games

To join him in eternal flames

Even in church some think it right

Until the Dove of God takes flight

Such games will end with total loss

If we don’t turn and face the cross

Play not the fool with Him who died

But bid instead The Truth inside

You’ve nought to lose, but all to gain

Who live to Christ, live not in vain

Talking firm hold Salvation’s hand

Faithful we learn to understand

No more is Christ upon the tree

He rose again to set us free

Through blood and pain He bore our shame

Oh no my friend, life’s not a game

So don’t pretend, or play a part

Receive Christ truly in your heart

Just ask God’s Promise come inside

Life’s living Light for Jesus’ bride.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
