No King-But Jesus
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

No King-But Jesus

  NO KING (1)

The holy land lay several claim

A state of constant war

Many have sought to place their name

Who’ve failed to find The Door

Seeking to claim God’s chosen ground

To steal His Promised Land

Israel’s foes encamp around

Failing to understand

Religion’s made their eyes grow blind

Fanatics fill with hate

Without The Truth not one can find

The Key to Heaven’s Gate

Although God’s Word sounds loud and clear

Bibles are offered free

Religion’s voice is all they hear

Its wages all they see

Failing to find The Way above

They fail to hear God’s voice

For God’s command is clearly love

The Way that’s not their choice

Their battle cry is kill, kill, kill

With terror’s knife and sword

Fighting warring against God’s will

Rejecting Christ is Lord

It seems God’s children walk alone

Without their Guiding Light

No king sits on Israel’s throne

No champion helps them fight

And yet a King in Heaven reigns!

A Sovereign rules the earth

A God who suffered awesome pains

A man of virgin birth......

          BUT JESUS (2)

Alas this King, no eyes can see

This Sovereign few can hear

Unless our sins are on The Tree

Our minds are blind with fear

Obeying God’s the key to trust

True love, lays wide His doors

Religious bones will turn to dust

Obeying man made laws

Traditions fail while fools pretend

Their offspring twist and turn

But man’s charade will see its end

On Jesus’ Christ’s return

As King of kings with sword in hand

The Lord, they now; reject

Will take the throne of every land

Establishing respect

All heads will bow all knees will bend

Tears will flow in streams

Then wayward eyes will see the end

Of all their foolish dreams

They’ll see The Light in God’s elite

The bride remaining true

Who dared to sit at Jesus’ feet

In service of the few

When Jew and Christian stand as one

Man’s final war will start

Beneath the flag of Christ God’s  Son

Death’s hand will take no part

The gates of hell will open wide

Amidst great screams of pain

When beast and devils burn inside

Jesus and bride will reign.....

About the Poet
I never wrote a word of poetry in my life. Till the day Jesus took my hand and touched my soul.....I invite your response. However most poems are not about me! Very few are. But the feed-back good, bad or indifferent is always desired. Not meant to offend, but I write about many things in many a guise. Of life, death, lost, found, saved, backsliders, new comers, repenting souls, doubting hearts, heathens, Christians, fire, water, Satan's daughter, wallowing in sin, saved, made sound walking in Light, graceful righteous. Suffering, ecstatic, bored, excited, sad, delighted, Sick, well, lame, able, living, dying, etc. etc. etc. Writing about anything, everything and everyone as the spirit leads. All meant to reveal, waken, revive, encourage, shame, help. Gladden, pick up, exalt, portrait, liberate. Again over 99% of my work is not about me. Although at times I write as though I were or am. Speaking e.g. in the first person. This is quite common even in the bible itself. Prophets speak of themselves, then God speaks, again the prophet, then God......Quite often it's difficult to distinguish whom it is that at any given time is speaking or narrating.
