Here's Hope

 Here's Hope

Cold, frosty morning,

Wind blowing smoke from chimneys

Snow nestled on each branch and twig

Winter wonderland.

Warm scarves and mittens

Boots and leggings to keep warm

Breath steaming as I walk along

It’s winter briskness.

Thank God for changes

Spring, summer, fall and winter

Rearranging of the landscape

Snow brightens dull trees.

Life beneath the snow

Bulbs lie in the frozen ground

Waiting God’s signal to arise

New life springing forth.

Hope springs eternal

Winter’s bleakness can’t deny

In Christ there is a sure promise

Love’s light is not quenched.

Feeding on God’s Word

Clinging to His promises

Then no winter comes to the soul

Winter’s warmth – INSIDE!
