Distracted?

Distracted?

Talk or text when you’re driving?
Are you distracted?
Many people are these days.

Do cares of life weigh you down -
Drive to distraction?
Did Satan make you do it?

Help us stop encumbrance, Lord -
Each unneeded weight.
The weight of sin entangles.

Help us run with endurance
The appointed course,
Looking unto our Savior.

I tell you these things to help you; I am not putting difficulties in your path but setting before you an ideal, so that your service of God may be as far as possible free from worldly distractions.
1 Corinthians 7:35   (J.B. Phillips New Testament)

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
