Winter’s First Blow

The sun shines brightly on new fallen snow.
It’s so still, not even winds blow.
Ev’ry limb and twig are still all aglow.
We’re all bundled up - ev’ry Jane and Joe.

Streets may be slick but they’re not going slow,
Same old story for first big snow.
It’s good packing balls for that first big throw.
The children love it.  They’re calling out “yo!”

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
