Outshines

Good morning sun you are so bright
your warming rays are sheer delight...
when you set and when you rise
it's a feast for human eyes.

Mr moon your soft glow
illuminates the earth below...
you function well by God's design
and His spoken word divine.

As astonishing as you are
God outshines you both by far...
your benefits I need and love,
but only worship God above!

God's handiwork reveals His glory
as told in the creation's story...
Come ye faithful saints and raise
hands up high and give God praise! (c)

Romans 1:25  "Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies.  So they prayed to the things God created, but wouldn't obey the blessed God who created these things."

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
