Shangri La

Shangri La

People search for Shangri La
amid the stress and strife...
a perfect place of peace
to help them cope with life.

So their quest drives them
to find the perfect place,
a pursuit they will discover
eludes the human race.

They'll never find utopia
thru human exploration...
the peaceful bliss they seek
comes by spiritual invitation.

How futile is man's quest
right from the very start,
for Shangri La is only found
when Christ transforms the heart!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
