GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 6 What is the price of five sparrowstwo copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. 7 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So dont be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows." - Luke 12:6-7(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!
- Lamentations 3:22-24(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
God's people have to get to the point where they trust the all-seeing God over them as much as they acknowledge the real world of opposition around them. - Jim Spruce -

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy with the sun peeking through now and then. High temperature today was 70 degrees. Low temperature last night was 57 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon without a cat. I don't know how I managed to sleep without a cat. Nothing much to report for today. I didn't even see a vulture soaring around today.
The cats are fine. Different ones have been coming and going into the den where Little Girl and I are at present. Smokey is on top of a refrigerator.
At 9:35 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 62 degrees. I will see you next time.

Nan's Calendar
by Nan Forehand, Statesville, NC
Subject: Nan's Calendar Feb. 16th - Nan's Legacy of Love
Today's message of love is dedicated to my children and my unborn grandchildren. No, Ashley isn't pregnant, but I do believe with all my heart that God will bless Ashley and Kris, and someday, John with children. If I should die before I get the privilege of meeting my grandchildren, I want them to know me by my words. I have to write to them down so they will have this part of me and to know me long after I am gone. Memories fade and stories will be forgotten, but my writings live forever as long as they are read. My poetry and Nan's Calendar are a legacy of love I leave my family, my children, grandchildren and you. I am an encourager and I love you.
Happiness is a how, not a what; a talent, not an object. Hermann Hesse
Carried On Breath
He looks beyond my rough exterior to see the gem
God lives in me and I in Him
He is ever present by my side
Christ goes before me to be my guide
He is beneath me; I walk on solid ground
Jesus’ name carried on breath – a heavenly sound
As I lift my eyes to the sky, He is there
To doubt my Lord, I do not dare

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
6 We are merely moving shadows,
and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.
We heap up wealth,
not knowing who will spend it.
7 And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?
My only hope is in you.
- Psalm 39:6-7(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3 He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
- Psalm 23:1-3(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
The future is full of doubt, indeed, but fuller still of hope.

NOTES
The day started with cloudy skies but skies cleared by afternoon. High temperature today was 72 degrees, low temperature last night was 43 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office and then to the cemetery. The flowers that I placed out at the cemetery for Christmas are still very beautiful. I took a nap this afternoon. I would like to write a little about vultures. They are the big black birds that eat carrion and people call them buzzards. Almost every day I see one or two of those big birds gliding around high in the air and only occasionally flapping their wings. Even though I live in town I usually see one or two of those big birds sailing around over town. I never see them go to the ground in town but in the country I sometimes see them on the ground. Just thought I would mention that so you can look for them sailing around when you are out and about.
The cats are fine. They are all accounted for.
At 10:20 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 62 degrees. I will see you next time.

Nan's Calendar
by Nan Forehand, Statesville, NC
It really is very simple. Perhaps mine is an over-simplification. We can love because God first loved us. Our part is to pray, that is to say, to have a continual conversation with Him, and to show Him a grateful heart for all He has given us and for all He has not given us. His part is to provide peace for our souls and protection. Yes, bad things do happen to good people. Yes, good comes to the unjust as well as to the just. We have to remember our part and God's part in the big picture. God is the Creator and Judge. He owns it all and He will judge all accordingly. It's about ownership and boundaries. If we don't own the problem, it isn't ours. There really are invisible boundaries we should not cross and, likewise, others will do well not to cross over where they should not cross.
For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank of angels -- everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. Colossians 1:16 The Message
Rick Warren said "it's not about us."
It's about God. It's about love. It's about time and how we use it.
It's About Time
It's about time to know a love Heaven sent
It's about time to turn over a new leaf
It's about time to let go of the grief
It's about time to really truly live
It's about time for you to forgive
It's about time for you to repent
It's all about time
and the time is now.
What are you waiting for?
Time waits for no one.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
5 You (Lord) prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
- Psalm 23:5(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
22 Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. 23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. 24 Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!" - Luke 12:22-24(New Living Translation).

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 71 degrees. Low temperature last night was 38 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. We visited with Charles Isenhower today at Taco Bobs. After lunch Charley and I went to Stuart, Oklahoma, 20 miles west of McAlester. We visited with our brother, Abe Christian, who is 92 years of age. We then visited with our brother-in-law, O. V. McNutt and his son, Denton. O. V. is 92 years of age and Denton is 69. Denton and his wife, Carol, own land and cattle around that part of the country. I went to city hall and paid my water bill and then to the post office. I got back home around 4:00 p.m. and I still had time to take a nap. I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is snuggled in her balnket. Emmy and Rascal have been here in the den but have now gone elsewhere. All our cats are accounted for tonight.
At 9:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 47 degrees. I will see you next time.
