GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. - 1 Peter 3:7(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” - Ephesians 6:1-3(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
A gift for marriage is to start each day with a kiss.
- Dr. Steve Stephens -
A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
A loving smile costs not a penny; a friendly word requires no dues.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with some clouds coming in this evening. High temperatures today were in the mid sixties. I attended Sunday School and Worship Service this morning. I had lunch at home. I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal, Beau and Emmy. The last Sunday night of every month we have fellowship at our church where we share a meal together. That is what we did tonight. Before I went to church this evening, I put out food and treats outside for the cats. The picture tonight is a rose bush in our front yard.
The cats are fine. Little Girl on the couch and Rascal on a desk close to me. Treva noticed how Rascal liked to be near me a lot and sleeps in my lap usually a while in the morning and a while at night. After I finish the Good Things and go to my recliner, I am sure Rascal will be there before long to sleep a while.
At 9:55 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 51 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. 22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. - James 1:21-25(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! - Galatians 5:22-23(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
All the wisdom of the world is childish foolishness in comparison with the acknowledgement of Jesus Christ. -Martin Luther -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Happiness is something that multiplies by division.

When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures around 50 degrees. Treva, Charley, Bill and I had lunch together. Treva and I then went by the post office, Walgreens and Walmart. We went to the cemetery. The flowers are still pretty. It will soon be time to replace the flowers with Christmas flowers. I took a nap. I put out cat food and cat treats outside. We had a pizza from Little Caesars for supper. The picture tonight is Azelas blooming in Honor Heights Park in Muskogee. The ice storm of 2007 ruined most of the Azaleas. Hopefully they will have grown back by April when they have the annual Azalea Festiful.
The cats are fine. Itty Bitty is asleep on my bed. Little Girl is in her usual place. Rascal is asleep behind my computer monitor.
At 9:35 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 32 degrees. I will now go to the living room and visit with Treva. I will see you next time.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
You can't be brave if you've had only wonderful things happen to you.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
Never try to make anyone like yourself; you know and God knows that one of you is enough.

NOTES
Today has been a cloudy day with high temperatures in the mid sixties. There were no Good Things last night so you didn't miss them. I started to do them but just couldn't get started. I had lunch with Charley today. I came by the post office. I had my house cleaned this afternoon. The lady did an outstanding job as usual. About 2:30 p.m. a technician came and changed my television satellite carrier from Direct TV to Dish Satelitte Network. Dish is cheaper and is just as good or better in my opinion. By the time the technician left, it was too late for a nap but I did lie down and rest for a while after I put our treats and cat food for the outside cats. As you look at tonight's picture, try to imagine a white two roomed school building. There used to be a building there and there were no trees on the school ground. I attended school through the eighth grade at that school. I graduated from the 8th grade in 1939 and then rode the school bus to high school at Stuart, Oklahoma. I think the Bohannon school closed in 1952. Yesterday, November 19, was the anniversary date that I left home to go into the Army. The year was 1943. I was discharged from the Army on January 15, 1946. On January 18, 1946, I had my first date with Flonnie after we had corresponed by letter all the time I was overseas. It didn't take long for us to realize that we loved each other. We were married on May 25, 1946 and lived together for 61 years and 9 months and she was called to go to Heaven on February 24, 2008. There are some dates that are milestones in your life and you can't forget them. That is enough reminiscencing for tonight.
The cats are fine. Little Girl and Rascal have been in the den with me all evening, Little Girl on the couch and Rascal sleeping in the floor. The other cats are probably sleeping somewhere.
At 10:20 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 56 degrees. Have a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
6 I lie awake thinking of you (my God),
meditating on you through the night.
7 Because you are my helper,
I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your strong right hand holds me securely.
- Psalm 63:6-8(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
165 Those who love your instructions (Lord) have great peace
and do not stumble.
- Psalm 119:165(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
In this actual world a churchless community, a community where men have abandoned and scoffed at or ignored their religious needs, is a community on the rapid downgrade. - Theodore Roosevelt -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
For those who fought for it, life has a flavor the protected will never know.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
No sense in being pessimistic, it wouldn't work anyway.

NOTES
Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid fifties. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I came by the post office. I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal, Beau and Leo. At 4:30 p.m. I had a visitor from the Dish Satellite Television network. At 5:15 p.m. I put out the treats and food outside for the cats. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. I worked in my office again. At 8:00 p.m. I called my son, Ron, in Oklahoma City. The picture tonight is another picture of Little Girl. I think I have shown most of the good cat pictures. If you would like for me to send other pictures of different subjects, let me know.
The cats are fine. Little Girl in her favorite spot. Rascal has been inside all evening and is asleep under the desk beside my computer.
At 10:55 p.m skies are fair with a temperature of 40 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;

and he will show you which path to take.

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy with high temperatures around 60 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I came by the post office. I took a nap in early afternoon with Rascal and a couple of other cats. At 4:00 p.m. I went to Country Mart Store for a few items. I put cat treats and cat food outside at 5:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. I worked in my office for over an hour. I need to do that every night. Concerning the picture last night of Little Girl, I had a note from a very good friend wanting to know if Little Girl was in a motherly way. I answered back and told him that Little Girl had been spayed several years ago and that she is now old and fat like a lot of us. The picture tonight is Lucy going somewhere. Lucy is the former stray (almost feral) cat that we tamed several years ago. I moved to Moore for ten months and didn't move her. When I moved back she showed up a day or two after I moved in. She is tame now but doesn't like to be held. She doesn't want to sleep in the house but she comes in every day to look around and eat a little. She always has food outside and on the back porch where she usually sleeps at night.
The cats are fine. Most of them are resting.
At 10:30 p.m. skies are mostly cloudy with a temperature of 45 degrees. I will see you next time.
