GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

 6 We are merely moving shadows,
      and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.
   We heap up wealth,
      not knowing who will spend it.
 7 And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?
      My only hope is in you.
- Psalm 39:6-7(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

 1 The Lord is my shepherd;
      I have all that I need.
 2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
      he leads me beside peaceful streams.
    3 He renews my strength.
   He guides me along right paths,
      bringing honor to his name.
- Psalm 23:1-3(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

The future is full of doubt, indeed, but fuller still of hope.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

A cloud cannot cast a shadow unless the sun shines brightly behind it.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Enjoy your ride in the elevator of life; it only goes to the top once.

NOTES

The day started with cloudy skies but skies cleared by afternoon.  High temperature today was 72 degrees, low temperature last night was 43 degrees.  I had lunch with Charley.  I went to the post office and then to the cemetery.  The flowers that I placed out at the cemetery for Christmas are still very beautiful.  I took a nap this afternoon.  I would like to write a little about vultures.  They are the big black birds that eat carrion and people call them buzzards.  Almost every day I see one or two of those big birds gliding around high in the air and only occasionally flapping their wings.  Even though I live in town I usually see one or two of those big birds sailing around over town.  I never see them go to the ground in town but in the country I sometimes see them on the ground.  Just thought I would mention that so you can look for them sailing around when you are out and about.

The cats are fine.  They are all accounted for.

At 10:20 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 62 degrees.  I will see you next time.
