GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
5 For his (the Lord's) anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. - Psalm 30:5(New International Version).
A QUOTE
The strength of America now, as at its beginning, is in our trust that we have "the assistance of Heaven and its blessings" in doing the right, and that our destiny is "in the hand of God." - Harold E. Kohn -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Do your best, and then be at rest. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Once you get started doing nothing, it's hard to quit. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 48 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Mellisa was our waitress today. I went to the post office. I stopped at a Dollar General Store for a few items. I took a nap with two or three cats. I gave the cats their treats at around 6:00 p.m. My daughter, Treva, is coming to visit tomorrow for a couple of days so I am not sure when Good Things will be back. Thanks for you notes and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Tony is on a desk near me and the others are elsewhere. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Friday,
Everett.

There is only one true path to God; that path is through Jesus Christ. - From Reflecting God -
NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 45 degrees. Stephanie came early this morning and gave my home it's usual excellent cleaning. I had lunch with Charley. Mellisa was our waitress today. I went to the post office and then to Walgreens to pick up prescriptions. I took a nap without a cat. I don't know how I managed it. I gave the cats their treats around 6:00 p.m. Thanks for everything, praying, reading and writing.
The cats are fine. Rascal is in our chair. Smokey was here a few minutes ago. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Thursday,
Everett.

Monday, February 16, 2015GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16(New International Version).

Some minds are like concrete - all mixed up and permanently set. - From Reminisce Magazine -
When I'm right, nobody remembers; when I'm wrong, nobody forgets. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Around 4:00 a.m. this morning we had a thunderstorm with rain. The rain began to freeze. We also had some sleet and light snow. High temperature today was 28 degrees. Ice covered most everything but the streets were still all right for driving. I don't have a garage since the den I am sitting in now used to be a garage. There was ice all over my van so I stayed in all day. I didn't want to fall and break a hip or something else. It is supposed to be warmer tomorrow so maybe I will be able to get out for lunch and check my mail at the post office. Thanks for reading and thanks for writing.
The cats are fine. They like to go out at times even in icy weather. I have seen all of them.
Have a nice Tuesday,
Everett.

The cats are fine. Rascal just went out the front door. Emmy just came in and got on the desk and meowed. She is telling me something and I will have to find out what she wants when I finish the Good Things. Tony also just went out the front door. I have seen all of the kitties this evening.
Have a Wonderful Sunday,
Everett.

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 7 "Ask and it will be give to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." - Matthew 7:7-8(New International Version).

Tony was with me part of the time. I gave the cats their treats at around 5:45 p.m. It has been very cool today. Cold weather is hard on young people but it is worse on older people such as me. I don't have a cat story to tell you tonight. Thanks for everything, notes, prayers and reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Leo is on a desk near me and Rascal is in our chair (we share). I have seen all of the kitties this evening.
Have a nice Friday.
