Good Things
By Everett Christian, WC PoetWhy is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and 6 my God!
All who seek the Lord will praise him.
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.

Partisan Politics
As I see it, partisan politics on both sides of the aisle have gotten in the way of any meaningful progress. However, with Democrat controlled House, Senate, and White House, it appears more evident that the president and the congress believed they need not compromise with the Republicans. President Obama has shown himself to be the kind of president he was as senator, extremely Liberal! His Left agenda has not even gone down well with a lot of Democrats so partisanship has even existed within the ranks of the president's own party.
In a day when evil is called good and good evil in some prominent issues such as abortion and gay rights, bipartisanship is more difficult to come by. Also, when Nancy Pelosi says she is not partisan what chance is there for real meaningful dialogue between the parties? And when Harry Reid says there will not be a bipartisan bill what meaningful dialogue can take place? There are those in both parties who are willing to work out differences and come to consensus. But it is not coming from the White House or the Democrat leadership in Congress.
Perhaps Senator Bayh's decision not to run again will be a wake up call to the Democrat leadership. But don't count on it. It is going to be a long hot election season in this Congressional election year.
