GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

5 Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
      I will praise him again—
my Savior and 6 my God!
- Psalm 42:5(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

26 The poor will eat and be satisfied.
All who seek the Lord will praise him.
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
- Psalm 22:26(New Living Translation).

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy mild day with temperatures in the low sixties.  I had lunch with Charles.  Bill Derichsweiler had lunch with us today.  This afternoon I went to the post office, Walgreens and Walmart.

I feel like saying a little about myself and the Good Things since I have started them again.  The Scripture verses speak to me as well as to you.  I sometimes have to search my heart to see if I am living up to what I put out on the Good Things.  If I don't search my heart then I might be guilty of not living up to the things I say I am doing.  Then I would be a hypocrite.  It might be well for me to pray this prayer sometimes: "Lord help me not to be a hypocrite.  Help me to live up to the Scriptures as best I can with your help, but when I fail, help me to admit it and ask your forgiveness."

I just want you friends to know that I am trying my best to live as the Lord would have me live but I am human and I sometimes fail.  Let me know if the Good Things are helping you.  If they are not helping someone then I will stop sending them.

The cats are fine.

At 7:00 p.m. the skies are cloudy with a temperature of 59 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
