GOD SPEAKS TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
1 To learn, you must love discipline;
it is stupid to hate correction.
2 The Lord approves of those who are good,
but he condemns those who plan wickedness.
3 Wickedness never brings stability,
but the godly have deep roots.
- Proverbs 12:1-3(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 35 “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. 36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate." - Luke 6:35-36(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
When the end of time has come, there is an end of choice, and the last judgment is only putting everyone into the full and sole possession of that which he has chosen. (Wlliam Law, An Appeal to All That Doubt).
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Never throw anything so far away that you cannot go back and pick it up.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
It isn't the load we carry that bears us down, it's the way we carry it.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures in the high fifties. I went out at noon and picked up some lunch. My son, Ron, came about 4:15 p.m. and stayed until about 5:45 p.m. He put my garbage out on the street for pick up tomorrow.
The cats are fine, going in and out while the weather is mild.
At 7:05 p.m. skies are mostly clear with a temperature of 42 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
“At that time Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your nation, will arise. Then there will be a time of anguish greater than any since nations first came into existence. But at that time every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued. 2 Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting disgrace. 3 Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever." - Daniel 12:1-3(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” - Romans 10:9-11(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Christianity is just Christ - nothing more and nothing less. It is a way of life, and He is that way. It is the truth about human destiny, and He is that truth. (R. J. Campbell, The Call of Christ).
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Discontent is the penalty we pay for being ungrateful for what we have.

You aren't really old until you're glad to see another birthday.

NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny and cold in Moore, Oklahoma. High temperatures were in the upper thirties. I had lunch at home. About 1:30 p.m I went to the post office to mail a letter and then by Crest Food Market for a few items. The rest of the time has been spent at home with the cats.
The cats are fine. When I lay down for my nap this afternoon, Beau came and purred for a while and then he left to go to another bed to sleep. Then Rascal came and snuggled with me as I took a short nap.
At 6:05 p.m. skies are clear with a temperature of 29 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
33 Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom;
humility precedes honor.
- Proverbs 15:33(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." - John 3:16-17(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Humility like darkness reveals the heavenly lights.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER FROM REMINISCE MAGAZINE
Smile awhile, and if you smile, another will smile.
The best way to kill time is to work it to death.
NOTES
Today has been a cool partly cloudy day in Moore, Oklahoma, with high temperatures in the low forties. Ron's wife, Angie, came over for a few minutes this morning to see if I was ready to have my house cleaned. I told her to wait until this week-end and it would be clean for Christmas. About 12:30 p.m. I went to Crest Food Market for a few items. As I came home I went by Arby's and picked up a sandwich.
The cats are fine, staying in most of the time because of the cool weather.
At 6:20 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 29 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ 37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’" - Matthew 25:34-40(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
23 Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. 24 Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me." - John 14:23-24(New Living Translation).

The day started with a little fog early this morning and soon cleared to a beautiful sun filled day. High temperatures were around 70 degrees. I attended church this morning. A Christmas Program was presented at the church this morning and there were too many things presented for me to summarize. I had lunch at home. My son, Ron, came about 4:00 p.m. and stayed until almost 7:00 p.m.
The cats are fine. They have been going in and out this warm day. Beau is in the computer chair.
At 8:30 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 54 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
6 Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near.
7 Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."
- Isaiah 55:6-9(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
9 You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich. - 2 Corinthians 8:9(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
If we understand our first and sole duty to consist of loving God supremely and loving everyone, even our enimies, for God's dear sake, then we can enjoy spiritual tranquility under every circumstance. (A. W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God).
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
An upright person can never be a downright failure.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
It's almost impossible to know when you are making a memory.
