The Light Eternal
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The Light Eternal

Light had shone so warm and bright
not that long ago.
But now the ray was almost gone.
It's brilliance fading to a glow.
The fear that circled round about
then sought to slither in.
It had waited there in darkness,
for on darkness it depends.
And just as the True Illumination
disappeared from sight.
Fear drew upon it's cloak of power
and laughed at the death of Light.
All that found peace and safety
where the dark was held at bay.
Now frozen by the grip of fear
could no longer see The Way.
So they hid away together.
They cried and sought to understand.
But no one came. No one answered.
For fear in darkness ruled the land.
And then what seemed to be forever.
But in fact was just a time plus time.
The Light once there before the eyes
returned to all but those still blind.
For just as it was written.
Just as it was said.
What fear would see as fading glow
was Eternal Light instead.
