Dieting Dilemma

Dieting Dilemma

I had a rude awakening in the mirror, just today.

Oh, I recognized the face alright, but the body's gone astray!

Perhaps I just need glasses and I don't really look that way?

(Or, I'll bet my clothes are shrinking in the closet every day!)

Okay, I need to exercize; no more sitting at the desk!

I'll cut out all the goodies, lest I get more "Rubenesque!"

But wait....Thanksgiving is upon us and it's time to feast.

(Well, it shouldn't hurt to binge that day; it's just ONE day, at least!)

But, wait...Christmas is around the corner, there'll be parties and eats galore!

(How rude of me to not partake of these offerings anymore!)

Seems my diet plans have gone aground; there's really no escape.

I'll wait 'til the New Year rolls around to get back into shape!
