Bad Advice
Although I'm a senior citizen, my 'elders ' give advice! I'm sure they are well-meaning and just trying to be nice. But I'll admit it bothers me a little, whenever I am told: "These are supposed to be the 'Golden Years!' My dear, just don't get old!"
Of course, new things befall us when we reach a certain age. The Book of Life has challenges each time we turn a page. But, if I don't get old, you see, how then can I live? Surely they're not suggesting the other alternative?
Folks, hold those 'words of wisdom' that you have the urge to tell! Instead, give some encouragement. Say a prayer, Or wish me well!
