Good Things
Wednesday, March 12, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
30 For we know Him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge His people." - Hebrews 10:30(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
7 How precious is Your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings. 8 They feast on the abundance of Your house; You give them drink from Your river of delights. - Psalm 36:7-8(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
We offer God our best talents because He is worthy. - Julie Ackerman Link -

The world is full of beauty when the heart is full of love. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES:
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 55 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. While I was out I went to Walmart to purchase my weekly supply of food and supplies for my cats and me. I took a nap this afternoon with Beau, Emmy and Smokey. At 6:30 p.m. I put treats and food outside for the cats and other animals that come along. Well, really, today has just been another day of waiting, wishing and wondering like I do every day. Waiting until I can leave this world, see Jesus and join my dear wife, mom, papa, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. Wishing that my wife was still with me at home. Wondering why God took my dear wife so many years before He took me. I will understand why things happen like they do when I get to Heaven. I know that you friends reading this are wondering about things also, why God took your husband or wife and left you to go on alone or other things that happen that we do not understand. The main thing for everyone right now is to do what you need to do to be sure you are saved and ready to go to heaven when it is your time to go.
Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. I have seen all of them this evening. Rascal is in the den with me at present in the recliner chair. Others have been coming and going.
Have a nice Thursday.

I have seen all the cats this evening except Emmy and I saw her earlier in the day. She sometimes stays out a little late. I will have to talk to that girl about that.
Have a nice Wednesday.

Today started with cloudy skies but the sun came out later and we had a beautiful day in McAlester, Oklahoma. High temperature today was 57 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had a wonderful service with testimonies and singing of hymns and spiritual songs. We had a special song sung by a trio, Cathy, Janice and Stan. Pastor JT's sermon was titled "What if...We Were To Take Up the Cause of the Cross?" I had lunch at home and took my nap this afternoon without a cat sleeping with me. I put food out for the outside animals at around 6:30 p.m. Thanks to everyone who sends an e-mail and thanks to everyone for reading the Good Things.
I would like to welcome Don and Wanda Henderson to the Good Things. They attend church with me and have been my good friends for many years. Welcome, Don and Wanda!!!
