Good Things

Saturday, March 8, 2014 GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. - Romans 13:11-12(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

22 Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22-23(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

We are most like God when our thoughts for ourselves are lost in our thoughts for others. - David Roper -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

People forget how fast you did a job, but they remember how well you did it. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Personality has the power to open doors, but it takes character to keep them open. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Yesterday is gone; tomorrow is uncertain; today is here. Use it wisely. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been a cloudy day with light drizzling rain part of the day. High temperature was 39 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office to pick up my mail. I took a nap this afternoon. Beau was with me part of the time. At around 4:00 p.m. I went to Walgreen's to pick up some prescriptions. I came back by Braum's and picked up a snack and brought home for my evening meal. I put food out for the outside animals at around 5:30 p.m. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Emmy, Leo, Lucy and Rascal are resting here in the den. Emmy and Leo on the sofa, Lucy in the floor and Rascal in the recliner chair. I have seen all the cats this evening.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Everett. Keep Thinking The Good Thoughts!!!
