You are one of a kind - designed to glorify God as only you can. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES Today has been a cloudy day with a real light drizzle most of the day. High temperature was 37 degrees. I attended church this morning. We had a good inspiring service as usual with choruses, hymns and spiritual songs. A good message by Pastor JT titled "What if...We Really Loved Jesus with our Entire Being?" I came home and had lunch and a nap this afternoon. When I awakened from my nap I only had three cats in bed with me, Beau, Emmy and Smokey. I watched the Lawrence Welk show at 5:00 p.m. At around 5:40 p.m. I took food out to the storage house for the cats or other animals that might come up at night. At 7:00 p.m. I put the garbage out on the street for pick up in the morning. I just talked with my son by phone. He lives in Oklahoma City. He and wife, Angie, and their several cats are doing ok. I appreciate your emails and I appreciate you reading the Good Things. Let me know if you would like to be dropped from the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Leo and Rascal are in the den at present. Emmy and Lucy have been around this evening. I have seen all of them. Have a nice Monday to start the week. Everett.

GOOD THINGS Saturday, February 8, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD 1 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul. 2 Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. 3 I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. - Psalm 108:1-3(New International Version)
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. - 2 Peter 3:8(New International Version).

Gossips are the spies of life - From Reminisce Magazine -
Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something and has lost something. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES Today has been a cloudy day with a high temperature of 37 degrees. My house cleaning lady came at 11:10 a.m. to clean my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office. When I awoke from my nap this afternoon there were four cats on my bed and two on a high shelf in the same room. The other two were in different rooms. Lucy was not here at that time. I took food out to the storage house at around 5:25 p.m. I did a little office work this evening before 7:00 p.m. I watched the Lawrence Welk Program from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The program tonight was from 1976 and since that was the bicentennial year, it was a bicentennial program. Watch it if you get a chance. I appreciate the emails that I receive and I appreciate everyone that reads my ramblings about my cats and my everyday life.
The cats are fine. Emmy, Leo and Tony are in the den with me at present. Rascal is asleep in one of the bedrooms. Lucy was in when I started the Good Things but I don't know where she is at present. She might be in one of the bedrooms or she might have gone to her other place where she stays. I have seen all the cats this evening.
Have a Wonderful Sunday. I think the weather will permit us to go to church tomorrow here where I live. I hope the same is true where you live. Everett.

What is done for Christ in this life will be rewarded in the life to come. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES Today has been a cloudy day with a high temperature of 32 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office to pick up my mail. I took a nap with the usual cats sleeping with me. At around 4:00 p.m. it started to snow but has stopped now. We may have had about an inch of snow this evening. I went to a chili supper at 5:00 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church. They were raising money for their youth program. Thanks to each one who sends an e-mail and thanks for reading the Good Things. My mind and body are tired this evening for some reason but my cats are keeping me company.
The cats are fine. Still staying inside a lot. Lucy was in earlier today and just came back in. I was just about to write and say she hadn't been in tonight. Emmy, Leo, Lucy and Rascal are with me at this time. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Saturday. Everett.

It is on the Blog.
