An Irony - Afghanistan
From: Dale Heath, WC poetMarch 26, 2012
Think about this
After reading the headlines today about the US soldier who shot up Afghanistan civilians, I couldn’t help noticing an irony. There is all this clamor to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind his having suffered a traumatic brain injury. Yet this Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah akbar, still hasn’t stood trial, and they are still debating whether he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive: slay as many infidels as possible. So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately. But this Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to argue the poor lad suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome, from listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience. Two and a half years later, they still haven’t tried the murderous ...

Editorial note: A huge difference in cultures. We had better understand this as we deal with the Muslim world which is probably made up of the more radical Muslims. Que
Obamacare
by Geneva Poyntner, IllinoisMarch 26, 2012
I know you are all probably tired of my sending these things, but I feel it is so important that we all, not only be aware of what's happening, but that we all pray for God's perfect will to be done in these things. The Supreme Court is meeting to hear arguments about things in the health care bill that's commonly called Obamacare. Please read the following copy and remember to pray this week.
WASHINGTON – Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and former GOP presidential contender Herman Cain were two keynote speakers who addressed the Road to Repeal rally organized by Jenny Beth Martin of the Tea Party Patriots in the Upper Senate Park this weekend.
Martin held up Obama’s massive health-care law and announced, “Obamacare is cancer in our government, and we are gonna rip it out, we’re gonna repeal this bill, this law!”
Despite cold and rain, a crowd of patriots warmly welcomed leaders and prayed that Obama’s health-care law will be struck down in the U.S. Supreme Court and fully repealed by Congress. All speakers noted that repeal depends on a new Senate majority and a new president.,br /> Cuccinelli, who's also a 2013 candidate for Virginia governor, will be arguing before the Supreme Court next week.

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 81 degrees and a low temperature of 47 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. Gaetano Franzese, a minister in our church, preached for us this morning. Pastor J. T. was there but he has bad throat problem. Gaetano did an excellent job of bringing the message. I had lunch at home. I took a couple of naps this afternoon. Rascal checked on me but didn't nap with me. I didn't attend church tonight. It was fellowship night and I like to fellowship but I decided to stay home. At 6:00 p.m. I sat outside with the cats and read for about an hour. I then had a bite to eat and then put out the garbage for pick up in morning and then to the Good Things. I do appreciate your e-mails.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is in the den with me and Rascal was here a little while ago and he will be back. I have seen all 8 of my cats this evening and my little stray cat named Lucy. Something has happened to the old stray Siamese Tom Cat that had been here several years. I always had food out for him so I know he didn't starve. Have a good Monday and I will see you next time!

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 77 degrees and a low temperature of 43 degrees. My housecleaning lady came at 11:15 A.M. to clean my house while I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office to pick up my mail. I took my nap with Little Girl and Smokey. At 3:00 p.m. I went to the Petsense store to buy cat food and then to Walmart for my weekly supplies. At 5:30 p.m. I went outside and sat with the cats and read for about an hour. I have had too many e-mails since the last Good Things to list them all. I love to get e-mails so keep them coming.
The cats are fine, Rascal is on the desk here beside me and Little Girl is on the back of the sofa.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.
