GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 38 You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. 39 But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. 40 If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. 41 If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. 42 Give to those who ask, and dont turn away from those who want to borrow." - Matthew 5:38-42(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them sing joyful praises forever.
Spread your protection over them,
that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
12 For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love.
- Psalm 5:11-12(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Watch your habits; they become character.

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
A traffic rule on the road of life - when you meet temptation, turn to the right.

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day. High temperature today was 32 degrees. Low temperature last night was a -2 degrees or 2 degrees below zero. I had lunch today with Charley. Joel Kircher came and ate with us today. I went by the post office and then came home. I took my nap this afternoon. Rascal came and napped with me for a little while. Not much to write about today.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is snuggled in a blanket on the couch. Rascal is asleep in the recliner. The others are sleeping or resting elsewhere inside the house.
At 9:55 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 14 degrees. I will see you next time.

Nan's Calendar
by Nan Forehand, Statesville, NC
Subject: Nan's Calendar Feb. 10th - Today Is The Most Important Day
Date: Feb 10, 2011 7:39 AM
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.
Hebrews 3:12-14
Today is the most important day of the year. Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery.
Be the best you that you can be today, right now, this minute. As long as you live and breathe make each breath count for good to glorify God, and to encourage yourself and others. Self-talk is so important in how effectively you maneuver through the activities of the day. Make sure your self-talk is positive. God created you like no other living creature on earth. You're unique, beautiful and special! When you get up in the morning and put your feet on the floor, remind yourself that yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery. Remember, today is the most important day of the year!
Take care of you for me.
Love, Nan

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. - 1 Corinthians 1:25(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(God says)
23 "But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path,
I will reveal to you the salvation of God.
- Psalm 50:23(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Love is a flame that warms but never burns.

NOTES
It was snowing when I awoke this morning and snowed until the middle of the afternoon. We received at least 4 inches of snow, maybe a little more than 4 inches. High temperature today was 24 degrees and that happened just after midnight. Low temperature for today has been 12 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. Bill Derichsweiler and his wife also came in and had lunch with us. I went by the post office and picked up my mail. The streets were snow covered but by being careful I had no problem with driving in the snow. I came home and took a nap this afternoon. Our cat named Little Girl usually stays here in the den. The past few afternoons she has come to my bed and napped with me. Rascal also slept in my bedroom but he was up on a high shelf.
Paul and Jo Cox used to attend our church and were dear friends of mine. They moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma, near Tulsa, several years ago. Later they moved to Tulsa. I had a call from Jo this morning and Paul had passed away yesterday. He had been having blood clots for several weeks. Keep Jo and the family in your prayers. Funeral arrangements had not been made when I talked with Jo.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is here in the den in her usual place. Emmy came to me a little while ago and started meowing. I got up and she led me to the door to let her out. They have been staying in most of the time today due to the snow and cold temperatures.
At 9:20 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 15 degrees. I will see you next time.

Nan's Calendar
by Nan Forehand, Statesville, NC
He who, forgetting self, makes the object of his life service, helpfulness and kindness to others, finds his whole nature growing and expanding, himself becoming large-hearted, magnanimous, kind, sympathetic, joyous, and happy; his life becoming rich and beautiful.
Ralph Waldo Trine

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
24 The father of godly children has cause for joy.
What a pleasure to have children who are wise.
25 So give your father and mother joy!
May she who gave you birth be happy.
- Proverbs 23:24-25(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star. 17 The Spirit and the bride say, Come. Let anyone who hears this say, Come. Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. - Revelation 22:16-17(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Better slip with foot than tongue.
- Benjamin Franklin -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Go ahead! Ask God why He doesn't do something to remedy the suffering in our world, unless you're afraid He might ask you the same question. - From Reflecting God -
Good manners never go out of style.

NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 47 degrees. Low temperature last night was 26 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and visited with other friends at Taco Bobs. I came by the post office and then to Sandy Isenhower's office to leave information for my tax return to be prepared. I got a haircut this afternoon at Buck Thetford's Barber Shop. Buck's son, Brent, cut my hair today. I had a nap this afternoon with one of my cats named Little Girl on the bed with me.
The cats are fine. Little Girl in her usual place. The others are probably sleeping.
At 9:25 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 40 degrees. We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. I will see you next time.
