GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. - 1 Corinthians 1:25(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(God says)
23 "But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path,
I will reveal to you the salvation of God.
- Psalm 50:23(New Living Translation).
A QUOTE
Love is a flame that warms but never burns.
- Father James Keller -
A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
Hope can be ignited by the simplest spark of encouragement.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
It was snowing when I awoke this morning and snowed until the middle of the afternoon. We received at least 4 inches of snow, maybe a little more than 4 inches. High temperature today was 24 degrees and that happened just after midnight. Low temperature for today has been 12 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. Bill Derichsweiler and his wife also came in and had lunch with us. I went by the post office and picked up my mail. The streets were snow covered but by being careful I had no problem with driving in the snow. I came home and took a nap this afternoon. Our cat named Little Girl usually stays here in the den. The past few afternoons she has come to my bed and napped with me. Rascal also slept in my bedroom but he was up on a high shelf.
Paul and Jo Cox used to attend our church and were dear friends of mine. They moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma, near Tulsa, several years ago. Later they moved to Tulsa. I had a call from Jo this morning and Paul had passed away yesterday. He had been having blood clots for several weeks. Keep Jo and the family in your prayers. Funeral arrangements had not been made when I talked with Jo.
The cats are fine. Little Girl is here in the den in her usual place. Emmy came to me a little while ago and started meowing. I got up and she led me to the door to let her out. They have been staying in most of the time today due to the snow and cold temperatures.
At 9:20 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 15 degrees. I will see you next time.
In Christian Love, Everett.
