GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
3 Seek the Lord, all who are humble,
and follow his commands.
Seek to do what is right
and to live humbly.
Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
- Zephaniah 2:3(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said to the woman at the well) 23 "But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way." - John 4:23(New Living Translation).

The first step on the way to victory is to recognize the enemy.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Consideration for others can mean taking a wing instead of a drumstick.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
Confidence is keeping your chin up; overconfidence is sticking your neck out.

NOTES
Today has been a cloudy day. High temperature today was 47 degrees and that happend right after midnight and then temperatures began to fall. Low temperature for today is the current temperature of 26 degrees. I felt like attending Worship Service this morning but not Sunday School. I had lunch at home. I rested this afternoon and put out food for the outside animals at 5:15 p.m. There are so many people sick from our church that the service was dismissed for tonight. Even Pastor J. T. was not feeling well this morning but you would have never known as he delivered his sermon titled "Redeemed" from the series of sermons on "What Does It Mean To Be A Christian." I am still coughing at times and will see my family doctor tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The cat picture last night was Rascal. I am sure that most of you will recoginize the cat in tonight's picture.
The cats are fine, Little Girl on the couch, Rascal in the recliner and the others asleep at different places around the house.
At 9:45 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 26 degrees. I will see you next time.

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said to the disciples) 20 "I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy. 21 It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. 22 So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy." - John 16:20-22(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(The Lord said to Joshua) 8 "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:8-9(New International Version).
A QUOTE
The world needs people whose word is their bond.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
The only thing worse than being alone is wishing you were.
- From Reminisce Magazine -
Yesterday brings perspective, today brings opportunity, and tomorrow shines with promise.

NOTES
Today has been partly with a high temperature of 53 degrees. Low temperature last night was 19 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office, then to Country Mart and then my weekly trip to Walmart for cat food and supplies. I had my nap this afternoon and put food out for the outside animals around 5:00 p.m. I still have coughing spells at times. I want everyone to know that I have just as hard a time living up to the Scriptures I post as you do. As the Apostle Paul wrote, I must guard myself constantly lest I be a castaway after I have sent all these Scriptures to others. I think that most everyone who knows me will tell you that I like to joke and kid with people as much as anyone. I must guard my speech lest I overspeak. A couple of people sent e-mails thinking the picture last night was Leo and they were right. I will see if you recognize the cat in tonight's picture.
The cats are fine. Little Girl on the couch and Rascal asleep on a desk close to me. I think the others are also resting somewhere.
At 9:30 p.m. skies are mostly cloudy with a temperature of 47 degrees. Have a Happy Sunday because of God's Wonderful Blessings. I will see you next time.

Positive Witness
By Gary James Smith, Canada
> WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK
>
> I guess that I was born to whistle. Ever since I can
> remember as a young lad I would be whistling while on the
> way to school or when I was working or oftimes just while
> resting. Little did I know the witnessing tool that it
> would become when I became a Christian. After I was saved
> and the Lord put a new song in my heart I began to whistle
> the new hymns that I had heard and learnt at our church.
> They took up residence in my life and had to find a way of
> expression somehow, I mean who can not burst forth in song
> or whistle when one has been redeemed. Who does not notice
> a happy whistler. I know I sure do. I have oftimes been on
> a job site or at a store and have heard someone whistling
> and it has picked up my spirit as well.
>
> Just a couple of days ago I was whistling while shoveling
> snow on a job site and when a couple of ladies walked by,
> one of them said, "Are you whistling to keep warm?" "No,"
> I said,"I am whistling because I have a warmth in my heart
> because I know the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal
> Saviour". Both of them chuckled and then one of them said,
> "You should sing!" I said, "I can do that too" and sang a
> bit of the hymn, Hallelujah, What a Saviour. They entered
> into the building laughing. Do you think that that would
> have an impact on their day, I believe it would! I can
> hear them telling their fellow employees you should have
> seen the crazy guy that we met this morning.
>
> I am now going to share with you how whistling led to
> meeting a fellow at a gas pump and how he later became a
> pastor at the church I attended in Calgary. I had been
> doing some jobsite cleanups in the northwest area of town
> and had stopped to gas up. While standing at the pump |
> was whistling away and a small sized yellow honda
> motorcycle pulled up. I nodded to the fellow as he put his
> kickstand in position and began to fill his tank. He said
> to me,"Well you sure sound like a happy camper" I then
> said to him, "wouldn't you be happy if you knew that your
> sins had been forgiven and that if you were to die today
> that you would go to heaven" He then responded , "You must
> be a Christian," I said "yes, I am, and you?" He said that
> he was and asked me what church I attended. When I told
> him that I attended a small baptist church, he said that
> he attended one as well. I then said to him, you should
> come out for a service sometime, he said, "I will, where
> is your
> church located anyways?" When I gave him the location he
> was suprised. He said,"I live on that street and I don't
> see any church located there." I said, we are meeting in a
> steel butler buiding 40' by 60'. He said "Is that what
> that building is" "I live right across the street from
> it." We both chuckled shook hands and left rejoicing.
>
> A couple of months went by and Frank never showed up at
> our services. Then one day while at the same gas pump
> filling up again, lo and behold who would show up on that
> little yellow honda motorcycle, but Frank. When he began
> apologizing for not making it out to a service and that he
> was going to try and make it there. I responded, "Frank, I
> don't want you to feel pressured to come, just come when
> it is convenient for you."
>
> The very next Sunday Frank came and was warmly welcomed by
> the small congregation. He enjoyed the message and the
> fellowship and eventually became a member of that church
> and praise God he also became the pastor. So my challenge
> to you dear believer, "Just whistle while you work", you
> never know who's life might be changed as a result
> thereof.
