Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK: GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD: (Jesus said) 7 "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." - Matthew 5:7(New International Version). GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD: 35 "For whoever finds me (wisdom) finds life and receives favor from the Lord." - Proverbs 8:35(New Living Translation). A QUOTE We may hear it in different ways and through different people, but God still calls. - Bruce Paul - THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER: Joy is not happiness so much as gladness; it is the ecstasy of eternity in a soul that has made peace with God. - From Reflecting God - The flowers or weeds that spring up tomorrow are in the seeds we sow today. - From Reminisce Magazine - The more you listen to the voice within you, the better you will hear what is sounding outside. - From Reminisce Magazine - NOTES: Yesterday (Sunday) I attended Worship Services in the morning and church (Missionary Service) last night. Yesterday I had lunch at home and rested in the afternoon with Little Girl (a cat) resting with me. Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 72 degrees. Low temperature this morning was 47 degrees. I had lunch today with Charley. I went to the post office and then to Save A Lot grocery store for food items. I took a nap by myself this afternoon. I sat outside with the cats this evening and read a while. Since the last Good Things I have had e-mails from Gail, Michelle Angelini, Tom Gilham and Fred & Ruby Renfro. Michelle wanted me to send another picture of Friendly so that is the picture tonight. The cats are fine. Little Girl is on the couch and Rascal was just in to check on me. At 9:45 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 56 degrees. I will see you next time. In Christian Love, Everett.
