GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

3 A house is built by wisdom
and becomes strong through good sense.
4 Through knowledge its rooms are filled
with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.
- Proverbs 24:3-4(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

14 Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.  - James 5:14-15(New Living Translation).

TWO QUOTE'S WORTH READING

An action that takes courage is saying "no" when people are trying to get you to do something you know you shouldn't.  - Dr Steve Stephens -

Yes, I know all the excuses. I know that one can worship the Creator and dedicate oneself to good living in a grove of trees, or by a running brook, or in one's own house, just as well as in church. But I also know as a matter of cold fact the average man does not thus worship or thus dedicate himself. If he stays away from church he does not spend his time in good works or in lofty meditation. He looks over the colored supplement of the newspaper.  -Theodore Roosevelt, Twenty-sixth President of The United States.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Be careful what you pray for. God may send you as the answer.
- From Reflecting God -

Be thankful for the weariness at the end of the day; it means you have been productive.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Cherish all your memories; they are the bricks and mortar of who you are.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 61 degrees. Low temperature last night was 23 degrees. My cleaning  lady came at 11:10 a.m. I went to lunch while she cleaned the house. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon. There is still a little snow left but not much.

The cats are fine. Little Girl and Rascal took a nap with me this afternoon. Little Girl is in her usual place. The other cats are elsewhere but they are all accounted for.

At 9:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 48 degrees. Have a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.

In Christian Love,
Everett.
