GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.  - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

2 He (the Lord) lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
3 He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord.
- Psalm 40:2-3(New Living Translation).

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Be thankful for the lady behind you in church who sings off-key because it means that you can hear.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Be to his virtues very kind, and to his faults a little blind.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Make friends even if you don't think you need them.
- From Life's Little Handbook of Wisdon -

NOTES

Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid seventies.  I had lunch with my brother, Charley, at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill like I do every day.  Bill Derichsweiler ate with us today.  I went by the post office and then on to Country Mart for a few items.  I took my nap this afternoon with different cats with me at different times.  I sat out with the cats for a little while and read this evening.  The picture tonight is Leo in a little container of cleaning rags on top of the dryer.  If anyone wishes to be dropped from the Good Things send me an e-mail and I will certainly understand.

The cats are fine.  Rascal just came in for a bite of food and a boo head.  This may sound like a broken record every night but I tell you what is happening.  Little Girl is on the back of the couch.  She has been outside.  Smokey was in a little while ago.

At 10:10 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 63 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
