GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(The Lord said) 26 "I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing."  - Ezekiel 34:26(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(The Apostle Paul said) 32 “And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself."  - Acts 20:32(New Living Translation).

A PRAYER

Heavenly Father, You have abundantly blessed me.  Thank You for my precious family.  Make me a blessing in their lives, as well as in the lives of everyone with whom I come in contact.  Although I'm thankful for the material possesions  you've given to me, I'm most grateful for the treasure of my family - the only blessings I can take to heaven with me.  Amen.  - From Light For My Path for Grandparents -

A QUOTE

True prayer is not to be found in the words of the mouth but in the thoughts of the heart.
- Gregory The Great -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

I laugh the most when I laugh with you.
- From Pass Along Promises -

Seize the day and put the least possible trust in tomorrow.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

The world is full of beauty when the heart is full of love.

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the mid seventies.  I had lunch with Charley.  I went to the post office and then to Walgreens to leave a prescription to be filled.  I took a nap this afternoon with Rascal.  I always put some treats outside for the cats in the evening and I also put out food for any stray that might be hungry.  Tonight at Western Sizzlin Steak House, the "Disabled American Veterans" group provided a free meal for all veterans.  Charley, Frank Cuzalina, Bill Kirk and I went for the free meal.  I almost wish I hadn't gone.  We had to stand in a line that was at least 50 feet long and moved very slowly.  Standing on my feet that long made my old crippled back hurt.  Besides that I ate too much from the buffet.  I rested for a while when I arrived back home and my back is feeling much better now.  The meal was in honor of Veterans Day this Thursday.  Next Monday night there will be another free meal for veterans at the Golden Corral in Muskogee.  Some are planning on going there but I won't be going.  The picture tonight is Rascal sitting in a chair sleepy and yawning.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is lying at the patio doors looking our but she doesn't want to go out.  Rascal is lying on the desk here beside me.  He is asleep but I pet him once in a while.  He likes to be petted.

At 10:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 60 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
