GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
3 Those who refuse to gossip
      or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
- Psalm 15:1-3(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

10 Even if my father and mother abandon me,
the Lord will hold me close.
- Psalm 27:10(New Living Translation)

A PRAYER

Lord, I thank you for being my sure place of refuge.  Circumstances are continually changing around me, but you remain constant.  Your love for me is evidenced by the fact that You are always close, waiting with open arms.  Amen.  - From Light for My Path for Grandparents -

A QUOTE

I count myself in nothing else so happy as in a soul rememb'ring my good friends.
- William Shakespeare -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

No lapse of time or distance of place can lessen the friendship of those who are truly persuaded of each other's worth. - Anonymous -

You have reached middle age when you have learned to take care of your health and intend to start any day now.  - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures in the upper seventies.  I attended Sunday School and Worship Service this morning.  I had lunch at home.  This afternoon I took a nap with Rascal and Smokey on the bed with me.  For tonight's church service our church people were traveling to Atwood, Oklahoma.  Several churches were participing in a fifth Sunday singspiration.  The service was at Atwood Church of The Nazarene.  I didn't attend as we would have been away for three hours or more.  Atwood is 35 miles west of McAlester.  I sat out with the cats this evening.  Tonight was "Trick or Treat" night but I kept my porch light off and didn't participate because I don't feel like jumping up every five minutes or so to give out treats.  We used to participate when we were younger.  The picture tonight is left to right, Smokey, a kitten that we gave away and Friendly when they were babies.  The picture was made in our storage house.  You will notice the kitty litter box that needs to be cleaned.  Baby kittens will start using kitty litter as soon as they can walk around.  We still have Friendly and Smokey but gave the other baby away.  I think the pictures were made in the Spring of 2007.

The cats are fine.  Rascal is on the desk here close to me, Little Girl is on the couch and the other kitties are around somewhere.

At 10:25 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 62 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
