Good Things

GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.  - James 1:19-20(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  - John 8:31-32(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Friendship improves happiness and abates misery by doubling our joys and dividing our grief.
- Joseph Addison -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

A man is not paid for having a head and hands, but for using them.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures around 70 degrees.  I had lunch with Charley, then went by the post office and Walgreens to have a prescription filled.  I had my nap this afternoon.  Later I went to Country Mart.  I sat outside with the cats this evening.  The picture tonight is of Everett, Chris Christian (our grandson), Flonnie and  Carissa DeClerck (our granddaughter).  This picture was made at our daughter, June and Keith's house in Yukon, Oklahoma on November 23, 2007.  This was our last family get-to-gether before Flonnie left us on February 24, 2008.

The cats are fine.  Rascal has been lying on the desk here beside me during the time I have been doing the Good Things.  Little Girl is on the couch.

At 10:55 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 53 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
