GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord
      and he will repay you!
- Proverbs 19:17(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

5 And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” 6 And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7 All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. 8 “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”  - Revelation 21:5-8(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy...cheap...popular, you make them because they're right.  - Theodore Hesburgh -

NOTES

Today has been a beautiful sunny Fall day.  I didn't see a cloud in the beautiful blue sky.  High temperatures were in the low seventies.  I had lunch with my younger brother, Charley.  We then drove out to Stuart, Oklahoma,  20 miles west of McAlester, to see our older brother, Abe.  The three of us drove about 8 miles out in the country south of Stuart to the little community of Bohannon.  We three brothers spent a lot of years out in this community during the Great Depression.  We visited the little country cemetery where our mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousins and other relatives are buried.  We visited with a couple of men while there.  One of the men was Alvin Reeder whom we have known all of our lives.  He still lives in the Rock Creek community just about three miles from the Bohannon community.  I have written a time or two about the small church that we attended in that community.  I am sending a picture of the church.  It is the same building in which we attended but has been remodeled several times.  Sadly, they are not having church there now.  Tomorrow I will send a picture of the cemetery.  Part of the Scripture tonight from Revelation sounds really bad but part of it sounds wonderful.  Just remember if you have repented and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior you won't be in the second death.  You will be in the beautiful place called Heaven.  If you are not a Christian, by all means accept Jesus now before it might be too late.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl on the couch as usual but she has been out once tonight.

At 10:35 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 49 degrees.  I will see you tomorrow if the Lord is willing.

In Christian Love, Everett
