GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

21 Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged.
- Colossians 3:21(New Living Transalation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

4 Riches won’t help on the day of judgment,
but right living can save you from death.

A QUOTE

Faith is the radar that sees through the fog.

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

It is not always our words that speak but our attitude that does

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures around 80 degrees.  My daughter, June, and I had lunch with my brother, Charley, at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill.  June and I went by the post office to pick up the mail and then by Country Mart to get a few items.  I took my nap without a cat on my bed.  June and I sat out with the cats this evening.  The Good Things are going out to 51 people tonight in several different states.  I would like to welcome Laura Johnson to the Good Things tonight who is in the process of moving.  Laura, when you read this, answer back and let me know if you would like to continue to get the Good Things.  I will continue to send them to you until I hear from you.  I received e-mails from Debra and Geneva.  I also received a nice clean joke from Alice that I will share at the end of tonight's Good Things.

The cats are fine.  Rascal is lying on the desk near my computer.  Little Girl is on the lamp table.  June is in the recliner (she is not a cat, she is just a cat lover).

At 10:10 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 60 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.

Here is the joke:

Two elderly gentlemen are playing cards on Saturday evening as they have done for the past 35 years. Max, the older, had been having problems remembering what cards were what, and usually needed help from his wife.

At the end of the card game Ed said to Max, "You did very good tonight. You didn't need any help at all. Why is that?"

Max replied, "Why ever since my wife sent me to that memory school, I haven't had any problems at all."

"Memory school? What memory school?"

Max thought for a moment, "Oh, what's that flower that's red with thorns? A really pretty flower...?"

"A rose?"

"Yeah...that's it!" Max turned to his wife and mumbled, "Hey, Rose! What's the name of that memory school you sent me to?"

*Thanks to Pastor Tim for this joke!*
